Isi artikelThe authors are keen to view stress coping in either a cultural or social context with religious and everyday way of life as background, including exclusive habits build through succesive generations. The stress source is the uncertainty facing the future due to economical conditions and collission with different cultures as an effect of globalization. This research design compares the three cultural backgrounds containing different religious (balinese with hinduism, sundanese with islamic culture an djavanese with diverse religious and faiths). These three ethnic groups are assumed to have specific culturally dependent habits which should reflect specific coping behaviour as well. Subjects are people from each ethnic group (N = 100) with various educational backgrounds from both sexes and various ages. This model is used to get amore accurate analysis through differentiating the coping behaviour according to sex and age.
