Isi artikel
The purpose of this research was to determine whether fear of negative evaluation (FNE) can lead to social avoidance and distress (SAD) and finally affects one's mental health. FNE and SAD questionnaires were administered on 44 male and 48 female respondents. The finding indicated that when a person had the fear of being negatively evaluated by the others, he would show social aviodance and distress behaviour and this would ultimately affect his mental health. The research also showed that the fear of negative evaluation indirectly predicted the menatla health via social avoidance and distress.
