The main purpose of this experiment was to compare the effectiveness of single therapy (behaviour modification, diet or drug), double combination therapy (behaviour modification - diet, behaviour modification - drug, or diet - drug) and triple combiantion therapy) behaviour modification - diet - drug) to lower the hiperactivity behaviour (HB) score. This research was conducted through the single case subject design, applying the DSM - IV to measure the symptoms of the attention HB and CPM to group the intelligence level. Subjects (N = 11) were 7 - 11 aged boys, diagnosed by psychiatrists as ADHD clients without any other disorder. They were divided into 4 groups, each was treated differently according to the research design and monitored weekly. Results show that drug therapy seems to be the most effective among the various single therapy, diet - drug combination the most effective among the various double combination therapy, and the triple combination therapy seems to be the best compared to the two other therapies, in lowering the HB score. The benefit of each selected therapy and the function of the related neurotransmitter in ADHD children are discussed.
