The purpose of this study is to explore the correlation between perception of nurse care and in - patient's anxiety in hospitals. The differences between male and female anxietites are observed as well. Subjects (N = 31) are patients suffering from tumors and fractures, aged between 16 - 50 years and undergoing surgery as a medical treatment and were located at mawar I, II, and III wards of Dr. Mawardi Hospital in surakarta. Results show a significant negative correlation between perception of nursing care and in - patients anxiety, with a perception predictor on nursing care against anxiety as big as 14.5% effective share. The t - test shows no significant difference between the sexes.
