Isi artikelHIV infection among infecting heroin users (IDU) in Indonesia is increasing over the year. Current estimate indicate that over 40% of IDUs are HIV positive. To prevent the spill over effect of infection into the general population, harm reduction strategies must be seriously considered. This paper briefly outlines the history of national drug and HIV/AIDS prevention policies and discuss current event which may lead to the implementation of Harm Reduction strategies.
