The school refusal is a relatively often disorder. in the United State and in Indonesia the prevelance shows 5% and 1-2% of all children in shcoll age, respectively. for the long run, school refusal causes risk factor for psychiatric ailment, difficulty in doing job and sosial disability. the school refusal is not a matter of diagnosis, beside, until recently, is it not yet defined. therefore, it raises difficulty in determination of criteria. the shcool refusal has been misnamed as school phobia. in fact, the symptoms are almost similiar, but the source of disorder is not the same. however, school phobia is one of factor that could cause school phobia.
