Typhoid fever was an endemic disease and serious public health problem in Indonesia because its incidence was estimated as the highest in the world and it started to spread from endemic area to non-endemic area. the majority of typhoid fever cases were reported based on clinical diagnosis without culture method, which was a golden standard for typoid fever diagnosis. the total amount of typhoid fever cases in the community might be higher than it was reported. the role of doctors in primary health care was very important. curative effort, which was done together with promotive effort , was very important to give patients some information and abilities to maintain their health.
