Jaminan kesehatan Jembrana (JKJ) is a local health financing scheme, initiated and developed by the government of Jembrana regency, in Bali province since march 2003. The aim of JKJ program is enhance the efficiency of health care resources in jembrana and expand access to primary health services for Jembrana population. evaluation on the legal, financial, management, distribution and out come of JKJ program recommends the program to be continued with some crucial reformation. Regional law on JKJ Program should be established to support the sustainability of JKJ program. Technical design of JKJ should be reformed, e.g. cost sharing applies for patients, prospective payment system for health care providers JKJ benefits to include primary health care, specialty and hospitalization services, and JKJ therapy standards to include comprehensive health servicdes (health promotion, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative health services). The performance of JKJ program management should be enhanced by restructuring the organization of JKJ program...
