In Hong Kong, the application of information technology (IT) in education did not start in a concerted manner until 1997. nevertheless, it has made rapid progress, particularly in terms of infrastructural developments. now most schools have broardband connections with the internet. however, improvement in hardware facilities is only one of the necessary conditions for successful implementation of IT in education.
