E-learning went through a major reality chek in 2001. fortunately, it has survived, unlike web-based grocery deliveries and any number of other seemingly good ideas for e-businessess. some might argue that once e-learning works out technical kinks, such as interoperability standards and security issues, it will realize even the most optimistic forecasts for changing the way people learn in the 21st century (Rosenberg, 2001 ; Rossett, 2001 ; Schank, 2001).
