Since 1984, the north central regional educational laboratory (NCREL) has been a partner and resource for improving American shcools. NCREL is a not-for-profit service, research, and development laboratory, providing national leadership on technology in education and directly serving the seven-state region that includes Illinois, Indiana, Lowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin. as one of ten regional educational labs in the contry, NCREL is partly funded by a contract from the national office of educational research and improvement. (OERI).
