A previous study (rowland & divasto, 2001) suggested that the nature of powerful learning experience and the factors thought to be involved are unique to the individual, thus presenting a serious challange to an instructional designer seeking to promote powerful learning. this uniqueness may, however, have been a result of the expecially diverse nature of the participants. the follow-up study reported here was conducted to determine if clearer themes would emerge when less diverse groups were involved.
