Performance of Adaptive system depend on convergence speeds of adaptive algorithm. A small step size in LMS could ensure small misadjustments, but the algorithm would converge slowly. On the other hand, a large step size would provide fast convergence but would result higher misadjustments. In order to increase convergence speeds we can modified LMS algorithm with adaptive step size. Computer simulation in adaptive noise canceling with matlab show the result.
