Syntetic (halocarbon) refrigerant is still used on small refrigeration machines until now, in spite of this type of refrigerant is bad for the environment. On the other hand, hydrocarbon refrigeran is good for the environment but not populer as syntetic refrigerant. This paper discuss the comparison of the two refrigerants. The result of this study shows that hydrocarbon refrigerant have more advantages based on the technical and environment aspects compare to syntetic refrigerant.
