Numerous concerned parties expect that Catholicism education at school should also explore and develop affection and religious behaviour, and not only stop at the knowledge level Nevertheless, it appears that Catholicism education always comes to an end at the level of knowledge. This situation has occurred because Catholicsin education at school takes place in aformal education setting. Like other subjects at school, Catholicsm education is bound to the curriculum, timetables, and examinations, for example. In order to attain the goal of developing the aspecrts of affection and religious behaviour, teachers need to find strategies of dealing with the formal setting of Catholicism education. Numerous experts have said that value education in general and Catholicsm education in particular have always taken place informally, that is in the interaction amongst all school community members. Therefore, the community-based approach which develops school cultures in accord with the values of Catholicsm education at school can become a supporting alternative to achieve the goals of Catholicsm education at school in the aspects of affection and religious behavious, namely the internalization of Catholicism values.
