To obtain a picture if healthy households in Indonesia, in depth analysis was conducted using combined data of 14.548.486 weighted households from the 2001 National Socio Economic Survey (NSES) and National Household Health Survey (NHHS) (Morbidity Survey and Child and Maternal Health Study). Supporting factors for a healthy household was determined using the factor analysis using 21 variables, which consists of 14 variables of household's environment and 7 variables of personnel's behaviours. The result show that there are 14 significant variables, which can be used to formulate the composite index of healthy household. Seven household's environment variables, which are found to be significant are : type of toilet facility, type of sewage final disposal, the use of toilet facility (in terms of ownership), type of sewage gutter, lightenig, ventilation, as well as the distance between water source and the nearest sewage disposal. Additionally, 7 variables of personnel's behaviours also show considerable impact, namely skilled birth attendance, daily physical activist, complete immunization, financial health protection, smoking habits, treatment seeking behaviour and the use of family planning devices...
