What is the effect of proofreading on students' expository essays ? Related to the content, the organization, the vocabulary and the mechanics of their essays, the students exposed to the proofreading technique do not obtain significant improvement in their posttest scores compared to those exposed to the non proofreading technique. However, related to the language of use their essays, the students exposed to the proofreading technique obtain significant improvement in their posttest scores compared to those exposed to the non proofreading technique.
