Isi artikelIn this study, two predictions of a model of instructional feedback (Kulhavy & Stock, 1989) were tested. A total of 117 undergraduate students read an experimental text, rated certitudes, and were presented feedback at varying speeds. Students were tested immediately or after a 2-day interval. Results upheld the hypothesized relationship between certitude and the probability of answering correctly on a post-test. A second hypothesis, relating certitude to the probability of maintaining a response, was not upheld.
