Traficking is one of some crucial social problems in our country. On one hand, our law clearly regulates that trafficking is forbidden. Whoever forbids this regulation will be condemned by law and will be sent to prison. On the other hand we see that there are many children and women under age sent abroad or to other places in the country for household work or in other fields. Why does the law seem ineffective? Some people say that ineffectiveness is related to the internal handicap of the law itself i.e its incomprehensiveness and incompatibility to the actual social process. Another reason is poor socialization. But, is it the only explanation? Sociologically, the disobedience to law is also related to other social factors. Using functional and rational choice perspectives we can conclude that the traficking is practiced, although against the law, because it is functional and in line with the interest of the actors. Actors are persuing benefits, especially economic one. Actors still perceive traficiking as one of the most profitable business although against the law. So, if we want to solve trafficking, there must an alternative that can give benefit to the people related. Forbiding is not a useful way to make the law effective.
