This article intendes to explain the importance of accounting and financial reporting knowledge for service enterprises.This article starts with an introduction of accounting. Then it tries to explain the uses of accounting information. If accounting has users, then it has uses. Uses are explained as objectives of financial reporting. Comprehensive financial reporting and its illustration, elements and qualitative characteristics are described to support the knowledge. The concludes by discussing characteristics of financial reporting of service business.
