The purpose of mineral analysis in ceramic material is to evaluate the contents of its raw materials for making stoneware product. Mineral oxide, ball clay, kaolin, fieldspar, smektit, illit, etc may influence the quality of product results of ceramic. For example, the colo of the materials may indicate the composition of the mineral oxide in it. To make sure that the product of ceramic has a good performance result and also meets the product requirements, it can be used as the national or international standard such as Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI). Results of laboratory testing show that material analysis of the composition of mineral clay, the physical properties of product sample as well as its chemical compositions determines the use of processing ceramic product that may perform its quality.
