Children in conflict with the law is a very serious human (child) rights issue. There are at least 3 - 4 thousand cases which go through the courts annually. Although Indonesia has passed the juvenile Court Act No. 3 / 1997, there remains a number of serious matters which need to be considered in the application of the law. This article summarizes most important matters dealing with the content of the law as well as the mechanism by which the law should be enforced.
