The clause concerning Jaminan Pemeliharaan Kesehatan Masyarakat (JPKM), meaning guaranteed public health care, is contained in Act No. 23 / 1992 article, 1 no, 15 and article 16 paragraph 1 of The Republic of Indonesia. In accordance with the above mentioned act St. carolus is convinced that the aiom of JPKM is noble and is of great benefit to the Indonesian nation. That is why St. Carolus supports the development of JPKM by implementing a program called Program Jaminan Pemeliharaan Kesehatan (PJPK) St. Carolus. St. Carolus PJPK is based on a conviction encompassing the following points : 1. everyone has the right to obain health care 2. health care is costly 3. by guaranteeing health care the hogh cost can be reduced 4. everyone is able to manage their own health 5. everyone is able to accustim themselves to manage their own health 6. through cooperation people are more effective on accustoming themselves to oversee their own health. 7. through this program, the cooperation needed to manage one's health is more effective and is less costly. PJPK attest that the organization of guaranteed public health care is comprehensive, continuous of high quality and imbued with the principle of togetherness The aim of PJPK is that all its participants become accustomed to managing their own health by developing healthy living habits.
