Isi artikelParticle refining and its effect on phase and magnetic properties of permanent magnet system base on Nd2Fe14B. Particle refining process of permanent magnet system based on Nd2Fe14B by milling and sonochemistry methods with processing time varied from 1 to 6 hours has been done. The original material produced by melt spinning process followed by coarse grinding have the Bd2Fe14B amorphous phase mixed with L-Fe crystalline phase which have particle size in the rang of (60 - 325) nm. Analysis of X-ray diffraction data on milling product shows growth of Nd2Fe14B crystalline phase followed by decreasinf of L-Fe phase. Magnetic property analysis results show that the coercivity tends to decrease with milling process. This decreasing is analyzed caused by particle size refining smaller than single domain size particle. On the other side sonochemistry process, give no significant change of phase and grain size.
