The physiological deterioration in the elderly is caused by anatomical deterioration, which has occured gradually since early adulthood. Besides there are ecternal physical changes such as wrinkled skin and gray hari, cognition and neural motor function deterioration age related diseases which can not be acoided and age associated diseases which can be prevented. About two thirds of elderly diseases is related to nutritional factors. Dietary management is one among several ways to cope with physiological deterioration and age associated diseases.
