There are 3 main factors of development in West Java province untuil 2009, namely developing economy, population, and space application. To support area development especially in control Bandung district, the land cover classivication in that area can be used, Land cover classification can be found by processing data of the remote sensing TM-Landsatasatellite in hard copy FCC. The land cover classification was a result of data processing by TM-Landsat on March 26, 1997 in Control Bandung district with an area of 22.708,19 Ha and an estimated population of 1.037.354 in 1997. This area filled with rice (365.5 Ha), garss (1.254,46 Ha), forest (2.065,8 ha), mixed garden (9.859,2 Ha), settlement (7.867,8 Ha) and lake of water area (132,3 Ha).
