An urban drainage has a function to collect surplus surface water, especially due to rain storms, in order to cause flooding that could damage property and people's lives. The drainage should provide benefit for human life. The water flowing into the drainage channel has characteristics according to water flow condition. The dimension of drainage channel not fitting water volume will cause loss of people's lives. This paper will present the gradual varied flow in the drainage channel where the weir is located in a down stream channel, so that the surface water level of the up stream weir will become back water. This backwater will pose a threat to human lives, if a dyke is not constructed to prevent overflow of water.
