A study done by the Demography Institute of University of Indonesia and the Indonesia Central Statistical Bureau has shown a tendency that the reason tourists come to Indonesia is to know more about Indonesia culture. The article describes about historical and cultural resources in Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia. From the perspective of historical development, there are many cultural influences evolving in Jakarta that could attract tourists. It is necessary that these different types of culture be promoted and developed in Jakarta.
