Isi artikelThree phase electrical power systems generally provide voltage supply at generating stations that is well balanced in both magnitude and displacement for varying reactions. However, some degree of voltage unbalance occurs that the point of utilization, and depending on the degree of unbalance, it can have an adverse effect on the operation of polyphrase induction motor. The result of survey indicated the need for severe reduction in motor rotation when operating unbalance line voltage. A major cause of unbalanced voltage at the point of utilization is single-phase loads on a system not uniformly applied to all three phases. Regardless of the cause, unbalanced voltage is harmful to three phase induction motors. This paper focused on the influence of unbalanced voltage on three-phase motor induction performance.
