Isi artikelMedical students in their residency have probability is lange with the lack of competency or lack of knowledge in doing inasive procedure. Increased number of health care workers, which are infected by blood-borne pathogens such as human immuodeficiency virus, hepatitis B virus, hepatitis C virus and frequent medical student exposure to blood or other body fluid should make medical students more cautions in doing their job or duty by : 1) change of attittude while providing health care, 2) better knowledge on blood-borne pathogens, 3) adequate training doing invase procedurs, 4) having physician's supervisions when invasive procedures are being done by medical student, 6) the use of universal precaution, 6) adequate exposure reporting system, 7) procedure in handling exposed health care workers and 8) Hepatitis B vaccination all could reduce the incidence of exposed medical students to blood or other body fluid and to prevent medical students from blood-borne pathogen infection.
