Isi artikelAny assessment process should not only be used to measure students's achievement, but it should be able to enhance critical thinking, creativity, and is should reflect capabilities. Morever, for an assessment to be effective, it should contribute to the development of students' learning. Peer assessment as an interactive and dynamic process involves learners in assessing, critiquing and making value judgement on the quality and standard work of other learners. As it is used in the translation class, peer assessment provides an effective practice for the students to think critically and to reflect their own performance as they analyze and judge the quality of peer's translation. The result of the survey on the application of peer assessment in the translation class has proved that this technique motivates and supports the students to develop their translation skiils.
