This study is intended to describe thequestioning strategy of female and male teachers at the English Department of Widya Mandala Catholic University, Surabaya. The data of the study was limited to politeness strategy and type of question. the result of the study reveal that there was hardly any difference between female and male teacher's questioning strategy.
