Isi artikelMedia industry as an information industry plays an important role in every countries as well as in Indonesia. Strating on 1998, media system in Indonesia has been changing rapidly. it is when reformation era replcaed the "Orde Baru". The reformation era bring a freedom for the press and marked by the growth of media industry. Based on this phenomenon, an exploration study on media penetratipn, conglomeration and regulation in 2003, which is five years afetr the reformation era has began, is needed to have a picture of media industry in Indonesia nowadays. The findings are current data on print media and electronic media, radio and television tha shows the map of media industry, how far its penetration to audience, who oen them and also existing media regulations.
