Mangrove forest grows rapidly around the coastal areas, and it is important to interface between the land and the marine area. Total area of mangrive forest in Indonesia in 1982 is 5.2 million hectare, but in 1993 is 2.4 million hectare or 47.91 percent only, The main factors affecting the decreases of it's area is such as for fishing, agriculture, industrial site and others. The areas of the mangrove forest should be considered by institutional involved to adequate sustainable for this function and contribution for the environmental balance there for we need good and integrated task in managing these forest.
