Yang et al (2000) to study Pb tolerance in rice (Oryza sativa). The root biomasses of the tolerance varieties were approximately 10-hold higher than those of the sensitives ones. Chlorophyl content in the leaves of tolerances varieties higher than sensitive varieties. The oxalat content in the roots and root exudates increased upon Pb treatment in the tolerance varieties, whereas the opposite was observed for the sensitive one. Bioacumulation and physiological effect of excess lead in a roadside pioneer species Sonchus Oleraceus studied by Xiong (1997). With increase amount of Pb inthe soil, the chlorophyl content, shoot length and biomas decreased, while POD (peroxidas) activity and Pb content in the plant tissue increased. Pb content in the root was highest than the stem and leaves.
