The forage for farm animal is the main food for domesticated ruminants. The forage can be obtained by crop residues. But the problem of crop residues are low in protein concentration and high in raw fibre. One of efforts these problems is ammoniation. The objective of this research were intended to study effect of urea concentration and duration in peanuts straw ammoniation, to raw protein concentration and raw fibre content, and to investigate any interaction between those treatments. Twelve plastic bags each contained 2 kg of chopped peanuts straw was ammoniated with 4% and 6% urea concentration, and ammoniation lasted 2 weeks and 4 weeks. There were 4 treatment with 3 repetation samples collected for raw protein concentration and raw fibre content. The sample analysed for dry matter and raw protein concentration base in AOAC Method (1975) and concentration of fibre base in Goering and van Soest (1970). The data were analysed by completed randomized design using factorial design. The result indicated that urea concentration in peanuts straw influence to concentration of raw protein and NDF. Duration of ammoniation were not influential to all of fibre components. There were interaction beetwen urea concentration and duration of treatment in concentration of raw protein and silica. The treatment for optimal result of concentration of raw protein and silica were suggested 6% urea and 2 weeks duration of ammoniation.
