Isi artikel
Magnetic Levitation (ML) is a new technology for moving train along its infrastructure. Contrary to the Wheel On Rail (WOR) technology, where weight of the vehicle being transfered mechanically to the ground through a direct physical contact, in Magnetic Levitation the weight of the vehicle being transmitted indirectly by way of magnetic fields. There are two means of suspending carriages on magnetic fields : one by the principle of "magnetic attraction", and the other by the implementation of. "magnetic repulsion". Both means have been successfully tested, and already enjoyed by people who had traveled in such vehicles in England, United States of America, Germany, and Japan. British and German consider magnetic attraction system more economical for the development of public High Speed Ground Transportation (HSGT) entering the 21-st century, while the Japanese convinced it ought to be the magnetic repulsion system. Whatever system will prevail in the future, Magnetic Levitation technology will eliminate the wear and tear between the super structure and the infrastructure effected by mechanical friction to zero, improve the convenience of travelling and at the same time reduce maintenance.
