Isi artikelThe increasing demand of greater computational speed from the currently available has obliged scientist to parallel computation. One of the most intriguing parallel systems is the transputer. Transputer is a single-chip microprocessor that is supported with features for parallel processing. The main objective of parallel processing is to reduce execution time and thus to increase the performance of the system. One of the critical constraints in parallel computation is the communication. In this article we investigate the parallel performance in terms of speedup for matrix-matrix multiplication. We conclude that the performance of the system is influenced by the strategy of the communication.
