This research is intended to identify some factors that caused conflict between madurese and dayak, to reveal the dynamic movement in prejudice of madurese toward dayak people at the post conflictern. Another aim of the research is to identify some factors which are able to reduce racial conflicts between ethnicity. The subjects of this research were madurese who live in gunung rancak, tragih and robatal in kecamatan robatal and also paopale laok kecamatan ketapang, sampang, madura. Results show that : a. the conflict occurs between madurese and dayak were caused by different cultures, the loss of dayak "holy - land", the segregation of environment between madurese and dayak, also the government attitude which is corrupt and irresponsible b. prejudice, which started by disliking somebody from the other ethnic c. some factors, which are able to reduce the conflict such as : assimilation, the equality of economic income and higher education between madurese and dayak. A good government should be able to reduce the conflict.
