Surface of the earth geomorphology can be divided into two parts, namely the land body and the water body. Both bodies are always developing and changing. The land body experiences degradation, whereas the water body agradation. These processes are caused by exogene and endogene power. This occurence is called succession. Segara Anakan succession processes are determined by physical factors, e.g: location,geology, geomorphology, soil, hydrology, climate forest, and by human being activities, e.g: management and land use on hinterland and foreland. The aim of this research is to study and predict the phisical factors and human being activities, which are influential to Segara Anakan succession processes. This study was carried out in three ways, i.e: (1) air photo interpretation to get physical and socio-economical data, (2) topographic map and archive analysis, and (3) field observation (reconnaissance) to complement the above two ways.
