The role of experience in the era of fast changing economic world is very important, unfortunately in indonesia, there is a gap between demand and supply of appraiser. In 2000 for example, there were about 150 registered appraisal companies with 1100 appraisers in indonesia or only 0,0005% compare to the population, meanwhile in australia, there were about 6000 appraisers or 0,03% of australia population. Moreover, in the last 20 years, more or less the role of appraisers have influenced the collapse of banking system in indonesia which spurred the happening of economic crisis. Appraiser's role is not just to estimate the value of properties, assets, cpaital reevaluation for credit collateral of banking system, but it is also to judge, to set a price of properties for tax accounting, auction, insurance, transfer of the right (i. e. land) pawning, compensation for government or private sectors. The problem lies not only in the lack of appraisers but also on the creation of law as an umbrella of appraiser activities. Through, there are some regulations of ministry of trade and ministry of finance, there are actually not quite enough to support the wide range of appraisers activities in indonesia. The need of regulation that controls or directs the preofession of appraiser is indispensable at the moment.
