This article focuses on the bankruptcy of a large securities company hich received special attention, and analyzes the re - employment of its mployees, making use of employment data. Although commercial bankruptcies ad business closures are notable economic phenomena, few have been analyzed, partly because relevant statistics are not readily available. In particular, little research has been done concerning the re - employment of workers who must give up their jobs because their company declared bankruptcy.
