Isi artikel
The English 'h' sound poses a problem to the native speakers of some languages such as French. The 'h' sound is a natural sound which all people make in sighing, panting, exclaiming, and so on. The French have no trouble making the sound itself, but add 'h' where it should not be and drop it where it should be. These 'h' errors occur in very specific environments in specific ways. In this article, the reasons for these errors are explored, and exercises are proposed to help students overcome the problem.
