Isi artikelMeta - analytic procedures from 11 cross - cultural and intracultural studies (26 effect sizes) along with factor analyses of data from five samples were used to assess the reliability and validity of the parental control scale (PCS). The PCS is a 13 - item self - report questionnaire assessing children's and adults' perceptions of the behavioural control they experienced as children (as control administered to children by their parents). Results of analyses support the conclusion that the PCS is a reliable and valid measure for cross - cultural research purposes, including among american ethnic groups.
