Tourism undoubtedly contributes significanlty to a country's economic growth, but on the other hand tourism also gives pressures to the environment. Ecotourismis an alternative tourism in the future characterized by its small scale activity, aiming at preserving the environments, and respecting the host community cultures. Ecotourism opens opportunity and challenges to ecohotel which try to capture the ecotourist market segment. The emergence of ISO 14000, will initiate the ecohotel to develop environmental and safety issues for its market. The ecohotel will be most probably owned and managed by host community since its small in size, simple product offered to its markets, and gives minimum pressured to the environment.
