Isi artikelThis article describes a drama-based approach to enhancing the intelligibility of ITAs. Developed at the University of Delaware, this training addresses both the segmental and suprasegmental features of ITA pronunciation within the context of cultural, pedagogical, and linguistic factors unique to the university classroom environment. An extensive study showed this drama approach to have a significant impact on both the communicative competence and communicative confidence of the ITAs who participated in the training.
