The purpose of the study is to observe adjustment in coastal area land use as a result of land conversion of upstream river area, and to observe water quality as a result of sedimentation based on utilization of Landast-TM remote sensing data. The method used is object identification of image spectral by comparing two color composite images of Landsat-TM acquired at different times correlated with survey data. the result of the study indicated that the two different time satellite imageries can provide land information such as : 1) land conversion especially wider fish pond in coastal areas, and 2) sedimentation that influence water quality in downstream river areas.
