The influence of liver function on sedative effect of "Jamu" preparation on white mice has been investigated. The "Jamu" preparation was administered orally as a suspension in 1 % of tylose to the examined animal the liver function of which has been induced with luminal. The sedative effect was evaluated on a rotating rod by counting the number of animals that fall down at each dose level administered. It was found that the induction of liver function resulting in a decrease in effective dose of the "Jamu" preparation.
