Steam Power Generation Plant (PLTU) in indonesia has many years in operation and become older. Boiler is important part of the power station, therefore “Boiler Life Assessment” is necessary to be done as base of rehabilitation for ljfe extension. Boiler Life Assessment include major component of the boiler, but in this paper we will stress the “Superheater” because it is one of critical part and has many phenomena of aging like creep, fatique, corrosion, oxidation, etc. How far boiler ljfe assessment has been implemented in indonesia and what problem is facing in this field? it is a challenge for all of us.
