This study examined the factor structure of form G of the myers - briggs type indicator (MBTI). A third - order component naalysis of a sample (n= 486) yielded three higher order components. Because this is the first third - order analysis of the MBTI reported in the psychological literature, these findings contribute to the research literature pertaining to the generalized structure of the popular personality instrument.
